It has been a big year for Edinger Medical Group’s pediatrician, Burton Willis, M.D., who recently celebrated his 50th year caring for kids. During his tenure with the practice, Dr. Willis has received a myriad of awards and acknowledgments, and has achieved great heights in his career. As a former President of the California District of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Willis has helped lead local pediatricians, but his greatest accomplishment is caring for his patients and watching them grow into healthy adults. When asked what he loves most about his long history with Edinger, Dr. Willis stated, “I love that I get to treat multiple generations. Patients I treated as children now bring in their own. It’s wonderful to continue to be part of former patients’ lives as adults.”
It’s just that familiarity and confidence in care that brings generations of patients to Edinger Medical Group. In practice for almost 60 years, the group’s longevity in Orange County is largely due to its physicians, like Dr. Willis, who dedicate themselves to caring for others. Dr. Willis and his loyal patients are a true testament to the care provided. Although the group has grown since it first opened its doors, its true dedication to patient care remains constant.
Edinger Medical Group is a primary care practice composed of internal medicine, family medicine and pediatrics. The group has been recognized statewide for quality of patient care and was named two years in a row as Orange County’s Best Medical Group by The Orange County Register. Edinger Pediatrics is located on the campus of Orange Coast Medical Center and in Huntington Beach.
